For particularly hard ground we recommend drilling a pilot hole before proceeding to drill in your GroundGrabba. This can make it easier to insert when the substrate is very dense or compacted. For hard substrates a GroundGrabba Pro drilled into a pilot hole will provide outstanding grip. Where the GroundGrabba Pro II is more suitable for situations with a less stable substrate like sand or clay.

A massive advantage of using GroundGrabba's to anchor your tent, easy up or other portable structure on hard ground is the ease with which they can be inserted and removed from the ground. On hard substrates it's a bit more work to get a traditional tent stake in, but when it comes time to taking them out that's when the work really starts.
