Rocky and Hard Ground Anchors
GroundGrabba Pro and Pro II are made of heat treated galvanised steel and are super tough. Your perfect Rocky and Hard Ground Anchors. You'll just love the massive grip afforded. Of course, we cannot do the impossible and penetrate rock or work around large obstructions so sometimes you'll need to improvise in a way only campers know how.
For particularly hard ground we recommend drilling a pilot hole before proceeding to drill in your GroundGrabba. This can make it easier to insert when the substrate is very dense or compacted. For hard substrates a GroundGrabba Pro drilled into a pilot hole will provide outstanding grip. Where the GroundGrabba Pro II is more suitable for situations with a less stable substrate like sand or clay.
A massive advantage of using GroundGrabba's to anchor your tent, easy up or other portable structure on hard ground is the ease with which they can be inserted and removed from the ground. On hard substrates it's a bit more work to get a traditional tent stake in, but when it comes time to taking them out that's when the work really starts. You could be digging out traditional stakes ages or maybe even trying to pull them out with your car, really not a good idea. With some GroundGrabba's, a battery powered drill and our socket driver you can get your camp, stage or other portable structure set up and securely anchored in minutes. You'll have it packed up and ready to go just as quickly, no fuss.
The GroundGrabba Pro 1ft and it's big brother GroundGrabba Pro ll, 2 foot in length both have incredible individual strengths beyond the average. Heavy duty drill driven screw in stakes like these are superior in every way. With flights (wings or spirals) designed from the ground up to cut in and grip whatever substrate you encounter so you can enjoy your outdoor camping experience.
We always recommend doing a bit of research on the environment that you are heading out into before you go out camping or on any kind of wilderness adventure. There is however only so much you can be prepared for. Having a good kit of multi-purpose supplies available will help with those unforeseen circumstances that inevitably pop up. GroundGrabba's are versatile in so many different environments and that's why they will make a great addition to your adventure kit.
Old Hammer in Stakes
The old hammer in stakes just don't hold your tent, shade structures easy ups or canopies well at all. Especially in rocky ground, thats why having a set of GroundGrabba's on hand can benefit you in these rocky and hard ground conditions. The steel strength allows for rugged conditions and their spirals give them the staying power to bite in...unlike smooth edged options that simply slide out of the ground. You will want to own and experience the difference of what real rocky and hard ground anchors can do, like many before you, you won't look back!
It's a good feeling knowing that your heavy duty drill driven screw in ground anchors are keeping your equipment well anchored and safe.
